Linux Certification
we,Computer Society of MIT are conducting a Linux Certification Programme under the guidance of NRCFOSS.The aim of this course is to motivate the students to develop open source softwares and get involved on free opensource movement.This course was started on Aug 12th,2006.Classes are being held on every saturdays in MIT.
The topics are listed below and we would be quite happy if linux developers assist us in providing any form of techinical support such as delivering a class on any of the topic mentioned below ,
(1) Linux Installation and trouble shooting*
- handled by Raja Sekar,MIT
(2) Basic Linux Commands and system administration*
- handled by Satheesh Kumar, MIT
(3) Shell Scripting*
- handled by Mr.Parthan,AU-KBC and Mr.Raman,ILUGC
(4) Programming tools ( vi, emacs, gcc, gdb, gprof, gas ..)
(5) Perl scripting
(6) Linux Kernel programming
(7) Linux databases ( Mysql/PGsql/..)
