Conclusion
The Linux Demo Day was indeed a grand success!!!. The student volunteers did a good job in explaining the visitors about FOSS and related topics. Around 150 student volunteers were trained for this event, in 28 different topics under the FLOSS umbrella. Each stall was entitled to give an introduction about their respective topics, which included basic things like installation, desktop, office tools to advance topics like kernel programming, Linux clusters, etc. At last, we have successfully proved that GNU/Linux is not for the geeks and its easier to learn to live with them. We have given a very good beginning and exposure to the students of Jaya Engineering College as well as all the people who participated in the LDD. Hope they further proceed from where we have left them now and also we see some good FOSS developers from this institution. Thanks to all student volunteers, ilugc members who supported the students, NRCFOSS members and others who made this event a success.
