I have quite a few comments to say with regard to this.

1. Cluster Idea - Please take a look at gluster. You can contribue to this one by enhancing it capabilities rather than start something on your own. Thats one way to enter into the FOSS world.

2. IDE for Kernel Dev - Kernel Developers do not require a IDE (or) I dont understand what you would want to have in an IDE specific for KErnel development. IDEs are for languages and are not specific to some project development. Most of kernel code is in C and there a lots of IDEs for that. You can try to contribute to this indian project Anjuta

3. Tools for creating pres - Please look at magicpoint and see whether you can contribute more to it.

4. Can you please elaborate how "Linux" Library Management can enhance scripting languages? Do you mean learning of scripting languages?
